When a saved or public build is missing
Check the same Apple Account, CloudKit availability, and both private and public views, then reload after connectivity returns.
When charm OCR or restore fails
Use a clear image with charm information visible and check camera or photo permissions. Restore the OCR unlock with the purchasing Apple Account.
Frequently asked questions
Are private results and public builds stored together?
No. Private results use CloudKit’s private area, while published builds and likes use the public area and may be visible to other users.
Are charm OCR images sent outside the device?
Charm OCR uses Vision to process the image on the device. You choose in the app whether to save or share the result.
Does deleting a saved result remove its published build?
No. Private saved results and published builds are separate. A published build remains after its saved result is deleted. Contact support about removing published content.
